Known publication, unknown photographer

A magazine credit does not always identify the photographer, especially where the source itself is incomplete. Similarly, a watermark added much later tells us little about who made the original.

We intend to record “publication”, “photographer” and “source of attribution” independently.

If you have catalogued vintage print material before, how do you annotate a tentative attribution without making it look certain?
